The significance of the hundreds of years old brewing tradition, the uniqueness of the rock cellars and the local natural water resources of the Czech Bohemian Forest region were grounds for granting registered European trademark „Chodské pivo®“.
The registered mark of origin and the geographical mark are granted by the European Union in reference to products and food of extraordinary quality which derive their names from the region or specific area where they are manufactured. The quality and properties of such products reflect the peculiarities of the natural environment, the composition of the materials used and the skills of the local people.
The family brewery Chodovar has been brewing beer for more than 500 years. The registered European trademark, which its beer has been granted since February 8th 2008, is primarily appreciated by the consumers as the originality of the product processed in the traditional way na stejném místě in the same place and in the constant quality is guaranteed.
