The hotel „U Sládka“ and in particular the restaurant „Ve Skále“ offers you a lot of unrepeatable gastronomic experiences for your celebrations, conferences, seminars, training courses or just a trip to the heart of the „Chodsko“ region. You can decide to have your breakfast either in a period hotel restaurant, a lounge with a fire place or on a sunny summer terrace. Buffet style breakfast contains an assortment of health foods as well as traditional local cakes.

The hotel building is adjoined by the restaurant “Old Malt House” (“Stará Sladovna”). It is situated in a stone building of the original malt house which has been utilized by the brewery to produce and store malt since 1860. The unique architecture of the object gave an impulse to its delicate reconstruction with the aim to use it for an unusual presentation of the local beer and its history. By opening the restaurant “Old Malt House”, the Family Brewery in Chodová Planá continued the tradition of large beer gardens. Thus the original restaurant offers not only 150 seats surrounded by brewing technology, but also a big terrace with a beautiful brewery garden of the total capacity of about 300 seats and a view of the historical building complex. “Beerarium”, the joint world of beer technology and gastronomy, welcomes you to get involved in the magic beer universe and allows you to uncover the veils of its secrets. The beer menu of the restaurant of “Old Malt House”, which consists of at least ten sorts of beers of interesting taste, has been compiled by the first certified beer sommeliers in the Czech Republic, Jiří and Vojtěch Plevkas.

A large range of beer sorts, artfully combined with a taste of original specialities of the local kitchen, was also appreciated by our president Václav Klaus during his visit to the brewery in January 2008.

The premises offer to stop at the restaurant “Ve Skále” (“In the rock”) as well, which is located in a part of a unique, 800 year-old labyrinth of the brewery rock cellar. You can choose a sit-down in the lounge “Pod pivovarským komínem“ (“Under the Brewery Chimney“), in the “Císařský salónek“ (“Imperial Lounge“) or in the main restaurant hall. There are 260 seats available. The restaurant „Ve Skále“ tempts you to try specialities of Old Czech cuisine prepared in accordance with original historical recipes. You can have your beer tapped directly from the lager cellar, or you have an option to taste all sorts of other beer specialities of high quality and thus appraise the mastery of the local ale brewers. We will be pleased to prepare stylish wedding receptions, celebrations, graduation receptions and other parties, as well as business lunches and festive dinners for all groups. In addition, the brewery premises provide the opportunity of sitting in a large brewery garden at a grill, smokehouse and period tap. This place is particularly suitable for extensive garden parties for up to 500 people with buffet style refreshment, grilling turkeys, piglets or even a bull. In the evening, the overall impression can be intensified by the performance of historical fencing, regional music of pipers from the nearby town of Tachov and Memory Jazz Band or Concordia Show Band from Mariánské Lázně. You can enjoy the show of pretty majorettes, an Old Czech brass band or a country music band.
