We managed again!!!

Chodovar has again won a prize “European Beer Star” in its category!!!

As usual, our brewery could not miss a chance to take part in this year’s traditional competition of breweries from all over the world. On 12th October 2007 tasters came together to Bavarian Gräfelfing and just like every year they were up to their elbows (and mouths) in work.

An international committee comprising of 54 members of 12 nations tasted and evaluated a record number of 575 beers in 40 categories, out of which they awarded gold, silver and bronze medals in each group.

Regardless of the beer sort, including for example pils type beers, dark beers or fruit beers, brewers of all participating breweries impatiently waited for the big day – Thursday 15th November 2007. On that day, in the German city of Nuremberg, the results were announced and prizes awarded to the winning beers.

Chodovar was traditionally successful. Our dark beer obtained the title of European Beer Star, which is a sign of appreciation of the skills of our brewers and practice of honest work of brewing Czech beer using the best and top quality ingredients.
